Tap, Tap, Tap

It's the sound of the rain. Or, in the Dr Suess book, Mister Brown can Moo, it is dibble, dibble dopp. Since we have secretly switched geographic places with Seattle, it is a sound we have been hearing quite often. Perhaps today, I will form a posse to find the sun. Remember when George Bailey was going to lasso the moon for Mary. This Mary may try to lasso the sun.

In our culture we only tolerate the rain. We realize rain is necessary for growth and life on this planet. But only a few people enjoy days of rain.

We have sayings such as: "A little rain must fall into our lives," "Saving for a rainy day," and "It's raining cats and dogs." Not one of these sayings is all that positive. But it's true. Just as the flowers and plant life need rain, humans do as well. Rain (Pain) when handled positively will most likely help us grow to become stronger and blossom. With our friends and family as the fertilizer, rain (pain) is passing and a time for growth.

Of course, the sun is vitally important. Rarely if ever do we say "sun, sun go away." We have sun worshipers. Most of us are happy and have extra energy on sunny days. But if were not for the rain in our lives, would we appreciate the sun (good times) as much?

Though at this point after 6 days of rainy days, as the Fifth Dimension sang: "Let the Sunshine In"!
